Second Calvary Baptist Church is located in the heart of Norfolk VA . 3 minutes from downtown Norfolk, and 5 minutes from Military Circle. The church is nestled in the Middle Town Arch Community on Corprew Ave.

As you browse, you will notice that we are a congregation deeply committed to missions, ministry, and Christian education. We are a group of people committed to following the teachings and life examples of Jesus Christ. Our hope is that all people will feel loved and welcomed at Second Calvary!
Our Service & What to Wear
We have ushers and greeters ready to greet you during every service and ushers available to help direct you to an available seat.
If you’re curious on what to wear: Come as you are, we do not have a formal dress code for church attire. During the summer months of July and August, we also have dress down Sundays.
About Nursery Services
We encourage all children to participate in worship services each week. However, we also realize that younger children can become restless and may need a little space to learn about God in a unique and creative way. SCBC’s nursery is staffed with caring volunteers who nurture and teach young ones between the ages of 13 months and 3 years of age during the 10 AM worship service on Sunday mornings (10 AM – 12:00 PM). Please be sure to provide all the supplies your little ones may need during their worship time in the nursery.
Children’s & Teen Church
Children’s Church: Children between the ages of 4 to 11 years have a special service every Sunday where they have a lesson tailored especially for their understanding and spiritual growth.
Teen Church: Middle School and High School Students have teen church every 1st and 3rd Sunday at 10:30, they are dismissed after praise and worship.
Parking & Security
Parking: Parking is available in our secure parking lot, which is monitored by HD motion sensing cameras. Our Security team is available to assist with traffic directions.
Security: The security ministry exists to make SCBC a safer, more convenient place for people to worship, fellowship and visit. The mission of SCBC Security Ministry is to safeguard our Pastor, church leaders, and to provide security for all SCBC members, guests as well as the property. We provide security during normal service hours and all special events.
