The Ministry of Pastoral Care is everything we do as a congregation to provide spiritual, emotional and physical support to the members of Second Calvary and the surrounding community. We seek to allow the love of God to flow through us and to love others just as Christ loved us (John 13:34-35).
The Ministry of Pastoral Care:
- Comforts those in distress in need of aid and support of the saints
- Seeks to serve as agents of reconciliation and healing
- Expresses love to those experiencing emotional, spiritual and physical trauma
- Seeks to aid in the restoration of those who are hurting
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)
